We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Front of House (FOH) Sound Operator to join our technical team for our large-scale Christmas show. This is a key role within a fast-paced, show-critical environment, supporting rehearsals and performances throughout October, November and December.
The successful candidate will bring extensive industry experience, strong technical knowledge and a calm, solutions-focused approach to live production.
Key Responsibilities

Operate and mix FOH sound for rehearsals and live performances

Assist with programing show files across the production period

Work closely with the Sound Designer and wider technical team

Manage MIDI integration, playback systems and show control elements

Oversee and troubleshoot QLab playback systems

Maintain and manage networked audio systems

Ensure consistent high-quality audio delivery across all performances

Assist with system checks, line checks and fault finding
Essential Skills & Experience

Professional experience in live sound and theatre environments
-
Advanced familiarity with DiGiCo consoles (programming and operation essential)

Strong understanding of live mixing techniques for large-scale productions

Working knowledge of MIDI implementation and show control systems

Proficiency in QLab
-
Solid understanding of audio networking

Experience working in show-critical environments where reliability is paramount

Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure during rehearsals and live shows

This is a seasonal contract running throughout rehearsals and performances from early October to late December.
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Monitor Engineer to join our technical team for our large-scale Christmas show. This is a pivotal role within a complex and show-critical environment, supporting rehearsals and performances throughout October, November and December.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for programming and managing an extensive monitor system, while maintaining a positive, approachable presence to support our 30-piece orchestra and performers.
Key Responsibilities

Program and manage an extensive monitor system comprising approximately 40 individual mixes

Configure and maintain headphone mixes, IEM mixes and group mixes

Set up and manage personal monitoring systems (Allen & Heath ME-1) for musicians

Programme and manage snapshots throughout the show
-
Operate and maintain the monitor console during rehearsals and performances
-
Work closely with FOH and Production Team
-
Provide responsive and supportive technical assistance to orchestra members
-
Transition into a backstage role during the show run, assisting with miking singers and musicians
-
Troubleshoot efficiently in a fast-paced, live performance environment
Essential Skills & Experience

Extensive professional experience in live music and theatre environments

Advanced familiarity with DiGiCo SD series consoles (programming and operation essential)

Strong experience programming complex snapshot automation
-
Proven experience managing large-scale monitor systems

Experience with IEM systems and personal monitor mixers (Allen & Heath ME-1 desirable)

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
Additional Role During Show Run
Once rehearsals and system programming are complete, this role transitions into a fast-paced backstage position, including:

Assisting with miking singers and musicians
